Misplaced your card or noticed something suspicious? Freeze it instantly — no need to contact support. A frozen card blocks all new transactions immediately. Your card balance stays safe and is not affected.
You can freeze and unfreeze a card from the Swipey mobile app (employees and admins) or from the Admin Dashboard (admins only).
Via the Mobile App
Best for employees who need to quickly freeze their own card.
Step 1: Go to the Cards tab
Log in to the Swipey mobile app and tap Cards at the bottom.

Step 2: Tap Freeze Card
Tap Freeze Card. Your card will visually change to show it is frozen — all transactions will be blocked immediately.

When you've found your card or resolved the issue, tap Reactivate Card to restore it to normal.
Via the Admin Dashboard
Admins can freeze or unfreeze any card across the company from the dashboard.
Step 1: Go to Cards
Log in to your Admin Dashboard and click Cards in the left sidebar.
Step 2: Select the card
Click on the card you want to freeze.
Step 3: Freeze or unfreeze
In the card detail panel, click Freeze Card. To restore it, click Reactivate Card.
Admin tip: If an employee reports a lost or stolen card, freeze it from the dashboard immediately. You can always unfreeze it later if the card is found. If the card is confirmed lost or stolen, consider terminating it instead. Learn how to terminate a card →

Does freezing a card affect the card balance?
No — the balance remains on the card and is fully intact. Freezing only blocks new transactions.
Can a frozen card be terminated?
No — a frozen card must be reactivated first before it can be terminated.
Can an employee freeze their own card?
Yes — employees can freeze and unfreeze their own card from the mobile app at any time.
Can an Admin freeze an employee's card without the employee knowing?
Yes — Admins can freeze any card from the dashboard. The employee's card will simply stop working at the point of payment.
What's the difference between freezing and terminating a card?
